What does this necessarily imply about our ability to know or discern truth on our own? 2. In this passage Jesus is quoting Psalm 110 in which David “eavesdrops” on a conversation between God the Father and God the Son. Jesus affirms the inspiration of Scripture when he says, “David, himself, in the Holy Spirit, declared…” What does this mean for us when we are confronted by things in the scriptures? 3. Do you understand the implications of what Jesus points out about David speaking of his descendent as LORD? See Romans 1:1-4 and Philippians 2:9-11 4. “What is good news for the King, is good news for the Kingdom.” Take a few minutes to read through Psalm 110. What are the promises the Lord makes to David’s Lord?
