On Sunday, Jeremiah suggested that Psalm 23 gives us a glimpse into the heart of David. What do we see about David’s heart from Psalm 23? 5. David was neither the greatest of stature nor the oldest son. On Sunday, Jeremiah called the congregation to “not despise your stature nor your station.” Are there ways that you have struggled with this in your life? 6. Jesus was despised and rejected and Isaiah 53:2 says that “he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.” And yet, read Hebrews 1:3. Jesus is king. All of humanity will be brought before him. His enemies will be made a footstool for his feet and the redeemed will be brought into the perfect order of his kingdom. Share together how Jesus is the perfect king and how our hope is in him.
