Consider Job 38-39. What is the focus of the Lord’s questioning of Job? What do these questions tell us about God? 4. The Lord moves from demonstrating that Job lacks understanding to accusing Job of attempting to condemn God himself. Read Job 40:8. How is what follows different than the Lord’s previous questioning of Job? 5. In Job 42:1-6, Job confesses his ignorance and repents of his insolence. How might this instruct our prayer life when we experience seasons of suffering and disorientation? 6. Read Ephesians 2:1-5. What is the final answer to the question of what the Lord does about evil?
