Romans 4:6-8 | Blessed Faith

 • Series: The Gospel in Romans

Part 28 in the sermon series "The Gospel in Romans | the power of God for salvation" CG Guide: Read Romans 4:1-8 In our passage of Romans, Paul continues his argument that justification is by faith alone. He moves from illustrating this doctrine with the example of Abraham (v1-5) to worshipping in light of this doctrine alongside David. He does this by drawing from Psalm 32. Read Psalm 32:1-5. 1. How do the words of Psalm 32 move you to worship? 2. On Sunday, Jeremiah said “Sanctification is being daily grounded in our justification.” Discuss what that means, and how you have found that to be true in your life. 3. Toward the end of the sermon, three passages of scripture were given to help us dwell on and enjoy the truth of the Gospel. Take time and read these verses together. (2 Cor. 5:21 ; Phil 3:8-9 ; Romans 8:1) 4. Discuss together the practical ways that we can be reminded of these scriptures throughout the week.
