Question 1: Can you relate to Jeremiah’s response to God’s call? How does the Gospel transform our inadequacies? (2 Corinthians 12:9 is helpful here) Read Jermeiah 17:1-4 In these verses, we see the seriousness of sin and God’s anger toward it. Question 2: Do you ever feel a tension between God’s serious hatred of sin and his grace and forgiveness for you? What does the Gospel say to that tension? Read Jeremiah 17:5-6 Question 3: These verses describe the blessings that come from trusting in the Lord. How has trusting in the Lord been a blessing to you recently? At the end of the sermon, Tony shared some ways we can be rooted in Jesus. - Give attention to what he says in his Word. - Pour out our needs and anxietes to him in prayer. - Submit to his will in our lives.
